B.M. Piano Performance, Oberlin College Conservatory of Music, M.M. Music Education, Eastman School of Music, Studied piano with Joseph Schwartz (winner of the Naumberg Prize) at the Oberlin Conservatory and Barry Snyder at the Eastman School of Music.
Past positions have included Adjunct faculty, music department, Monroe Community College. Substitute faculty, Hochstein School of Music and Dance. Accompanist, Pittsford Central Schools. Private piano instructor.
I have taught private piano for over 30 years- all ages and levels. Special training in elementary education (NY State certified, 1985). Have prepared students for recitals, auditions and competitions throughout teaching career. Believe in individualized instruction- where each student’s needs determine choice of materials and pace. Include balanced program of technique, theory, ear training and performance with the main goals being the student’s thorough enjoyment and appreciation of great music.
