Fiddle
Nick started on the violin later then most, at age 15. He studied fiddle for a short time with local fiddler Dick Bolt, and later with Megan Beller at the Kanack School. Traditional Irish musicians have influenced much of his fiddle style. He has made numerous trips to Ireland, to both study the music and enjoy the culture. Nick is an active Irish fiddler in the Rochester community and often plays at the many local Irish seisiuns.
Nick holds an associate’s degree in Environmental Studies and is hoping to complete the remainder of his bachelors in biology soon. He currently works as wildlife technician/falconer at a local landfill, where he scares away pest birds like gulls and crows, with the use of trained falcons. His hobbies include falconry, bird watching, raising exotic ducks with his wife Tara, and of course fiddling!
